Arlington Farmers' Market

2003 Chef In the Market series

Due to popular demand, our Chef at the Market Series will return for the 2003 season! Shoppers at the Arlington Farmers' Market will think they’ve been transported to a quaint European town this spring, summer and fall when local chefs take them on Market tours and then demonstrate their knowledge of fresh, local produce back in their kitchens. The Series is intended to highlight seasonal produce and inspire Market patrons to purchase featured ingredients at the Market.

Tours are free, and begin at 10:00 AM at the Market:

Susan McCreight-Lindeborg from Majestic Cafe on May 31st at 10AM
Todd Gray from Equinox on July 19th at 10AM
Jonathan Krinn from 2941 Restaurant on August 9th at 10AM

Cooking Demonstrations will be held at the restaurants below (registration details soon to follow):

Todd Gray from Equinox on July 26th at 11:30AM at Equinox
Jonathan Krinn from 2941 on August 16th at 10AM at 2941

Local cookbook author and chef Robyn Webb

This Saturday local cookbook author and chef Robyn Webb will host book signings at the Market. You will be able to purchase her inventive book filled with fresh-from-the-farm recipes, and chat with her about cooking ideas. So look for the extra booth at the Market to find Robyn Webb on September 20th with her Flavorful Seasons Cookbook: Great-Tasting Recipes for Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall, as well as other selected titles. For more information about classes and programs offered by Robyn, visit http://www.robynwebb.com

Download the flyer and registration form for the events.

To register for the demonstrations, please call the Virginia Cooperative Extension Service at 703-228-6400 or contact us.
