The Farmers' Market Needs You!

The farmers' market is looking for a few dedicated volunteers! If you love the market this is your chance to get involved. We need help promoting the market and continuing to make it a great destination in Arlington, whether you are coming to shop for FRESH-FROM-THE-FARM food, or just visiting! Please indicate if you are interested in any of the activities listed below:

Interests: - Distributing promotional fliers in the neighborhood
- Writing a weekly "what's in the market" column for email distribution
- Keeping an up-to-date Email list of interested market-goers
- Maintaining the Arlington Farmers' Market webpage
- Serving on a "Friends of the Farmers' Market" steering committee
- Organizing regular "Chef in the Market" special events
- Creating a farmers' market cookbook
- Graphic Design: donating design services for promotional fliers and events.
- Miscellaneous tasks during the hours of the market such as flier distribution, counting of customers, etc.
- Volunteer "Bag Carrier." Carry heavy or multiple items to customers' cars, especially seniors or others who may need assistance.
- Organize and create a "farmer of the week" program highlighting a particular grower each week.
